Pear Fruit

Sweet and satisfying, pears are rich in fiber, which can help the body to shed excess weight. Besides making an ideal dessert or snack, pears and pear juice can be used to sweeten cakes and cereals instead of sugar.

Both soluble and insoluble fiber helps to fill you up in a healthy way. Pears are among the few fruits that contain a high quantity of insoluble fiber, which works like tiny scrubbing brushes in the colon to promote good digestion.

Their sweet taste and refreshing juiciness make them an appealing option to anyone who has given up sugary treats in order to lose weight. Also, when people are trying to lose weight, the change in diet sometimes disturbs the eliminatory system. Pears counteract any tendency towards sluggish digestion if you’re eating less than usual.

Pears are often given as a baby’s first fruit, as they are the least likely to cause an allergic reaction. This also makes them one of the best fruits for people with multiple food allergies.

The insoluble fiber in pears helps to eliminate cholesterol from the body, which is useful for those at risk of heart disease.

The antioxidant vitamin C and folic acid content in pears also boost immunity and help to fight off infections. One pear contains roughly one-tenth of the recommended daily potassium intake for most adults -a mineral lost through perspiration.

This means that pears make great snacks for exercisers, they counteract the low potassium levels that can lead to fatigue and muscle cramps.
