Easy egg Recipes
YOLK MASK (to nourish dry skin)
- 1 tbsp dear honey
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 tsp potato flour
In a bowl, combine the honey, egg yolk and potato flour, stirring to create a fine paste. Apply evenly to the face and neck and leave for about 20 minutes. Rinse off with cotton wool and water. Pat dry. Repeat 2 or 3 times a week, making a fresh mask for each treatment.
SMOKED SALMON WITH SCRAMBLED EGGS
- 6 eggs
- Salt and ground black pepper
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 85g/3oz smoked salmon
- 4 tbsp chopped dill or chives
- Lemon wedges, to garnish
Beat the eggs with some salt and pepper and heat in a pan with the oil, stirring all the time until just cooked. Pile on plates with the smoked salmon, sprinkle over the herbs and garnish with lemon wedges and more black pepper.
LEEK AND PEPPER OMELETTE
- 1 tbsp groundnut oil
- 1 leek, trimmed and finely chopped
- 1 sweet pepper, deseeded and diced
- 4 eggs
- Salt and ground black pepper
Heat the oil and gently fry the leek for 2-3 minutes until half cooked. Add the sweet pepper and cook for 2 minutes. Remove the Vegetables with a slotted spoon and set aside. Beat the eggs in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons cold water. Season and pour the mixture into the pan. Add the vegetables and cook for around 5 minutes until the egg is set.
- 4S0g/1lb potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 large handful chopped parsley
- ground black pepper to taste
Steam the potatoes for 15 minutes, and then transfer to the pan oiled with the olive oil. Mix together the remaining ingredients and pour them over the potatoes. Cook gently for 3-4 minutes. Once the underside is done, place under a grill and cook until golden and set.
