Easy Celery Recipes
CLASSIC WALDORF SALAD
- 5 celery sticks, trimmed and chopped
- 2 apples, chopped
- 1 bunch white seedless grapes
- 1 spring onion, trimmed and chopped
- 1 handful chopped walnuts
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp plain bio-yogurt
- ½ tsp celery seeds
- Ground black pepper, to taste
Put the celery, apples, grapes, spring onion and walnuts in a large bowl. Put the remaining ingredients in a separate small bowl and stir well. Tip the mixture onto the salad and mix well. Serve immediately.
CELERY-SEED TEA (for rheumatism & urinary infections)
- 1 heaped tsp celery seeds
- 500ml/ 17fl oz/ 2 cups water
Place the seeds and water in a stainless-steel pan. Bring to the boil, and then remove from the heat and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Strain. Drink up to 3 times a day depending on the severity of symptoms.
